I have to admit, I felt really pleased with the way my photoshoot went with Krazy Marchese. I absolutely loved the location, lighting, and timing of our photshoot - so I was happy to get the opportunity to do it all over again with Tyson's Lexus LS400. I was also excited to see if the LUT I developed for Chris' photoshoot would work well with Tyson's car, even though the LS is all back.
Thankfully, everything turned out perfect in my opinion and I was happy with the results.
I tried arriving at the same time as I did for Chris' photoshoot, which was about 30-40 minutes before sunset. It was a great call because I was able to get some really cool shots with accentuated lines caused by the shadows. The photo above is probably one of my favourites as I think it really utilized the lines well.
While the sun was still out, I tried to take advantage of every minute I had. Albeit that it was a bit difficult to cycle through the settings on my camera to find a perfect balance between exposure, and composition. I was hoping to have a bit more of a dramatic sky in the background as sunset drew closer, however the clouds were just not entirely setting in my favour.
Before my brother got this car, I had never known or seen (that I can remember) an LS 400. Oddly enough, when I posted these shots on Instagram, I was surprised by how much engagement it received. I've posted pictures of Lamborghinis, G-Wagons, and even a Bugatti Chiron on my Instagram before - but none of these received as much engagement as I did when I posted this photo above.
I will admit, I did try a couple different tactics (organic) than I have with other posts - which is likely how it was able to receive the amount of impressions it did.
Editing these photos became such a breeze for me. The LUT I created for Chris' photoshoot made everything look just the way I wanted it to, so I was really happy that I could save a bit of time here. Beyond just colour grading these photos, the garage here is just sooooooo clean that you don't even have to use any editing tools to get rid of litter or stains.
After nearly 1 hour, I was satisfied with the amount of shots I had - given the brutal weather we experienced this day. We can go from +12 outside all the way down to -5 in the same day/night, and when you haven't been used to -5 in a while, it really feels much colder than it is.
Anyways, it was cold god dammit.
Eventually just before we left I was able to get a couple nice shots with the clouds a bit lower which was nice... as they were not as forgiving earlier. My only complaint about this spot is that the garage itself is not exactly level. It seems to dip in certain areas and it can be a bit difficult to line it up nicely. Either the ground is straight and flat, or the structure of the building is - choose one.
Overall a great photoshoot, and I'm looking forward to getting more pictures of Tyson's LS 400 as he drops the body lower with his new coilovers!
