Holy shit.
I've been to quite a few car shows/meets/season openers/closers - but I don't think anything has compared to the one I experienced for Elusive's Season Opener. I think this may have been the first season opener Elusive has thrown since being established as a club, and man did they deliver!
The nice thing about Elusive is that I feel like the members actually take the time and effort to meet anyone who shows some interest in the club. For example, when I heard about a mini meet they were having in a parking garage at Ikea, Chris was the first one to walk up to me and introduce himself and the rest of the group. I don't know, I just think this was cool and welcoming.
If you read my last blog about heading out to Audi True North's car meet at PFAFF Vaughan, you may recall that I ended up cruising with another B8.5 A4 & S4 while on the way. Well funny thing is, is that I happened to see them at the Elusive Season Opener as well! Felt pretty cool to bump into them here in Burlington which was a bit of a drive from Vaughan - but we had a great conversation and went on to enjoy the show.
I'll be honest, I didn't take as many photos from the season opener as I would have hoped, but I was really happy with the results from the photos that I did get. Personally I prefer to take photos privately as it gives me more breathing room to set up each shot - oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
While I was walking around, I stumbled upon qasumalik's 2016 Acura TLX and DAMN did this dude ever make his whip look nice. The drop and wheels look like a perfect fit and compliment the white paint so well. Well done sir!
One car I couldn't take my eyes off of was this older Mercedes. The paint job/wrap on it was beautifully done and the wheels were also on point. If I were to shop around for an older Mercedes, this would definitely be the one.
Towards the end of the show is when some real shit went down. I've learned my lesson from previous meets where I left early and ended up seeing a whole bunch of shit happening from the Instagram stories as everyone was wrapping up. I wasn't about to make the same mistake this time.
Watching this just makes you pumped for what the rest of the season will be like! There's so much more to come and I can't wait to capture more of it. I feel like last year I didn't get to take advantage of it since I was working retail hours, but that won't be the case this summer!
After the sweet burn out show, the raffle was on in the back with a lot of dope prizes. I'll definitely have to remember to bring cash with me next time because there were some nice merch being sold at the event too.
Big thanks to Elusive for putting on a great show and making the car community in Toronto so enjoyable. Can't wait for the next meet and the future of the club.
